Product Overview
Our steel billet reheating unit is a medium-frequency induction heating system specially designed for reheating continuous-cast steel billets before hot working, including hot rolling, forging, upsetting and hot extrusion. Different from traditional gas-fired reheating furnaces, this induction reheating equipment generates heat inside the billet via electromagnetic induction, delivering fast heating speed, precise temperature control and low oxidation loss.
The unit is widely applied in steel rolling mills, metal forging workshops and metallurgical processing factories. It can reheat cold or warm square billets, round billets and small slabs to target rolling or forging temperature, improving finished product yield and reducing production cost.
Core Working Principle
This steel billet reheating unit leverages medium-frequency IGBT inverter technology. Alternating current flows through the induction coil and creates alternating magnetic fields. Eddy current forms inside the steel billet and generates internal resistance heat to raise billet temperature. DSP digital control adjusts output frequency and power in real time, maintaining consistent cross-section temperature of billets.
