Process Temperature Standard for Billets
Cross-section temperature
Core temperature reaches 1100℃ while surface temperature stays at 800℃, requiring 300℃ temperature rise on billet surface.
End-to-end temperature
The head temperature of single steel billet is around 50℃ lower than the tail, and matched temperature control system compensates the temperature difference precisely.
Anti-oxidation Process Description

Oxide scale forms on steel billet at 600℃~700℃, and oxidation accelerates with thicker oxide layer at 900℃~1000℃. The oxidation rate at 1200℃ is ten times that at 800℃. Continuous Casting Steel Billet Heating Electric Furnace controls local overheating via accurate power regulation to reduce oxidation loss and raw material waste.
Main Hardware Configuration Features
Medium Frequency Power Supply System
Adopt 12-pulse or 24-pulse rectified KGP S1000-1000KW medium frequency power supply matched with exclusive power transformer. Dual-transformer 12-pulse rectifier structure lowers harmonic interference to stabilize local power grid and equipment operation.
PLC Intelligent Control System
The whole production line is equipped with full-automatic PLC control system, independent operation console and customized HMI. All parameters are digitally adjustable with real-time production output recording and one-click parameter reset function. Equipped with Raytek temperature measuring components to guarantee uniform heating and avoid billet crack or deformation.
Feeding Guiding Conveying System
Each conveying shaft is driven by separate motor and reducer, with one frequency converter synchronizing multiple shafts. Guide rollers are made of non-magnetic 304 stainless steel with axial elastic allowance to accommodate slightly bent incoming billets.
Equipment Body and Cooling Water Circuit
Cabinet undergoes sandblasting, plastic spraying and baking finish treatment. Thick-wall stainless steel pipes are applied for all circulating cooling pipelines to enhance corrosion resistance and service life. LCD temperature display screen is installed on cabinet for real-time operating data checking on site.

The complete production line realizes fully automatic feeding and continuous heating with unattended running. All operating data is monitored by computer, and precise temperature control is realized through mature power control model for stable low-consumption mass production.
